Backbends can be simultaneously the most challenging and satisfying asanas of our practice. In a typical yoga class, backbends are often situated just after the standing series and just before the seated series, leaving little time (or energy!) to explore all of the strengths and weaknesses these demanding poses have to offer.
In this two-hour workshop open to all levels, you will be guided through a spine-awakening warm up, followed by workshopping empowering poses to help strengthen your whole spine and core, increase flexibility in your shoulders and quadriceps, and open your heart. Come learn how to make backbends more accessible for your body!
